Four new wild cards in early December
It’s a pleasure to announce that Kyle Giovannini (USA), Jori Markus Löytynoja (Finland), Jakob Burkard (Denmark) and Xurde Menéndez (Spain) will all be participating in the 2020 Open de España
Wild cards to Germany and the Netherlands
It’s a pleasure to announce we have allocated three wild cards to Benedikt Heiß (MPO), George Braun (MP40) and Gregor Marter (MP40), all of them well known German players. The wild card given to Jelte Visser (MA1), makes him the first Dutch player to compete in the Open de España.
Four new wild cards awarded
We’re quickly approaching the start of the 2020 Open de España and there are still wild cards left. This week we’re awarding four new ones to: Aida Rey Braga (Spain), Vincent Pedersen (Denmark), Kevin Agten (Belgium) and Anders Haugen (Norway). Congratulations!
Waiting list clean-up
Our waiting list needed a clean-up, and after a recount of the players we’re left with 8 MA1, 3 MPO, 3 FPO, and 2 MP40, for a total of 16 players.
Two new wild cards awarded
Markus Birkenmaier (MP40) from Switzerland and Torsteinn Valdimarsson (MPO) from Iceland have been awarded wild cards. Both have competed at the Open de España before.

The payment process has started. All the players holding provisional spots are receiving a mail. The deadline for transferring the registration fee to our account has been set to Sunday 8th of September 23:59. Any registered players whose payment is not received by the end of this stage will be removed…
We’re expanding the field to 120 players
Next years event is very popular and we have decided to expand the number of participants to 120. The 2020 edition of the Open de España we’ll be held in March and, with longer days, we’ll be able to accommodate more players. This means we now have eight more spots…

The registration process continues. Stage 2 opened tonight. We’ll be updating the players list tonight. Please be patient, a lot of players registered the last couple of days and you’ll soon be added to the list. Thank you for your patience !

The registration process opens tonight at 00:01 (01:01 for Russia, Finland and the Baltic States). Please go to the registration page and fill out the form. Remember there are two stages and you might only register in the one you belong to.
